Brow Before Care

What to Do & Avoid

Preparing properly helps your artist achieve the best possible result from the very first session.

Come with clean, bare brows. No makeup on or around the brow area. Avoid blood thinners for 48 hours before, as they increase bleeding and affect pigment retention.

  • Have a light meal before. Sessions are up to 2 hours
  • Stay hydrated in the days leading up
  • Arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake forms
  • Get a good night's sleep the night before
Avoid
  • Alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before (coffee, energy drinks, pre-workout)
  • Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E 48 hours before
  • Retinol or exfoliants near brows 2 weeks before
  • Sun exposure or tanning beds 2 weeks before
  • Brow tinting, waxing, or threading 2 weeks before

Brow After Care

What to Do & Avoid

The first 10 days are critical. These steps protect your pigment and ensure the best healed result.

Keep your brows completely dry for 10 days. No swimming, no steam rooms, no excessive sweating, no rain contact directly on brows. You can wash your face, just avoid getting the brow area wet.

Do
  • Apply healing ointment in a thin layer, 2× daily
  • Sleep on a clean silk or satin pillowcase
  • Gently pat dry immediately if water splashes on brows
  • Let any flaking fall off naturally on its own
  • Keep hair out of the brow area while healing
  • Stay out of direct sunlight
Avoid
  • Swimming, steam rooms, or saunas for 10 days
  • Exercise or sweating for 7–10 days
  • Touching, picking, or scratching the area
  • Makeup on or near brows for 10 days
  • Sunbathing or tanning beds
  • Retinol, acids, or exfoliants near brows
  • Facials, chemical peels, or laser for 4 weeks
  • Botox or filler injections near the brow area for 4 weeks

Lip Before Care

What to Do & Avoid

Well-hydrated lips hold pigment better. A little preparation goes a long way toward a beautiful result.

Moisturize your lips daily for 3 days before. Apply a balm morning and night. Hydrated lips absorb pigment more evenly and retain color longer.

Do
  • Apply lip balm morning and night for 3 days before
  • Come with clean, bare lips. No lipstick or gloss
  • Have a light meal before. Sessions are up to 2 hours
  • Arrive 15 minutes early to complete intake forms
  • If you have a history of cold sores, contact us. An antiviral is recommended starting 3 days before
Avoid
  • Alcohol or caffeine 24 hours before (coffee, energy drinks, pre-workout)
  • Aspirin, ibuprofen, fish oil, or vitamin E 48 hours before
  • Lip fillers 4 weeks before
  • Botox near the mouth area 4 weeks before
  • Chemical peels or laser near lips 4 weeks before
  • Lip waxing or threading 2 weeks before

Lip After Care

What to Do & Avoid

Lip healing requires extra attention to what you eat, drink, and apply. These steps ensure the best color result.

Keep lips moisturized at all times. Apply your healing balm every 1–2 hours, especially the first 5 days. Dry lips lose pigment. This is the most critical step for lasting color.

Do
  • Apply healing balm every 1–2 hours, keep lips moist
  • Drink through a straw for the first 5 days
  • Eat soft, room-temperature foods the first week
  • Sleep slightly elevated the first night to reduce swelling
  • Stay out of direct sunlight while healing
  • Use SPF lip balm once fully healed
Avoid
  • Spicy, salty, or acidic foods for the first week
  • Kissing or oral contact for 2 weeks
  • Smoking or tobacco products during healing
  • Submerging lips in water for the first 5 days
  • Picking or peeling flaking skin
  • Lipstick or lip products for 10 days
  • Whitening toothpaste for 2 weeks
